Are there any anti-hypertensive drugs which I should avoid?

Ace inhibitors and ARB's are the best to use for bp with ckd. Some say ACE can be slightly harmful, but yet for example if protein is in urine it is one that is given (lisinopril). I have taken an ACE for years (lisinopril) and it seems my kidney stays stable. You do want to avoid diuretics.
Hi RickHow, what is your lowest BP and highest BP? Actually what is the target BP for CKD stage 3?
My highest is 142/70. My lowest has been 119/62. BP for CKD is not different than for without CKD. They would like it to be in the 12x/7x. But if you are older (over 65) it is acceptable to be less than 135.
Hi Rick, thanks for the update: Mine is usually around 125/70, obviously with medication, but systolic has been between 137 and 120 and diastolic between 64 aand 75. I take 4 meds - doxazosin, amlodopine, bisopropol and candesartan - mostly at low dose levels.
