stage 3 a/b

hi got ckd don't know the difference between 3a and 3b well here go my symptom's are swollen hands legs ankles tiredness cramps protein in my urine my renal doctor is not sure if all these are off my ckd has anyone else had these symptom's also what's the difference between a/b my function is about 36/30%

Does your urin appear bubbly or frothy in the toilette?

42 years old stage 3 yes foamy urine

You need to find the cause of the protein in the urine

It could be from a number of things

Diet/medications/etc

Your doc will be doing periodic checks every few weeks/months

And may opt for a biopsy

I also have protein in urine and currently under investigation

12 months ago, I had all the symptoms you mentioned in your message. I had heart, lung and major organ investigations which thankfully were o.k. It was then that I was diagnosed with " Stage 3 CKD secondary to membranous nephropathy" I was given Bumetanide to treat the water retention and a concoction of various drugs, including initially, a high dose of steroids. I now feel fine and last Tuesday my Consultant told me my kidneys were now functioning normally! Good luck and I hope this post helps and encourages everyone.

HOW LONG DID YOU HAVE TO TAKE STEROIDS? THEY HAVE THEIR OWN LIST OF SIDE EFFECTS. GLAD THEY SOLVED YOUR PROBLEM THO. WISH THERE WAS ONE PILL THAT WORKED FOR ALL OF US. CHINA HAS SOME WONDERFUL TREAATMENTS FOR CKD- BUT WHO CAN TRAVEL THAT FAR.
