CKD stage 3 with anaemia

I am 34 with GFR of 47, Hb of 10 (last checked Feb).

I received iron infusion at renal unit in December last year which increased my low ferritin level of 20 to 440 but felt no improvement physically whatsoever and Hb has actually dropped since. 

Really bad symptoms just now of exhaustion, nausea, itching, incredibly painful calves, headaches. 

Anyone experienced similar? 

Possibility of getting EPO injections and that sounds like really could help me. 

Thanks all and any remedies for the legs would really be welcome!
