Parathyroid levels and Covid-19

Can anyone tell me if you have increased PTH levels (116ng) and have eGFR of 31 ml/min am I more at risk of catching Covid -19. I have been told by my work ( nursery practitioner) that they don’t want me at work, so I am socially distancing myself but not sure wether I am at extremely high risk.

It is better to be safe than sorry. They are saying that people with limited kidney function or CKD should be extra cautious.

Thank you

Unfortunately people with CKD are at risk for getting more sick from the virus than people without kidney disease. I am still working as a nurse and it is starting to get to me thinking about it bc I am stage 3.

One of the lab numbers that most folks never pay attention to, but should, is the white blood cell count (WBC). It's probably the most important info about your immune system, and if you tend to be on the low end of the scale (I'm ALWAYS), you don't have as many infection fighters to do battle for you. Thus, you are considerably more likely to pick up infections and have a harder time beating them back. A word to the wise. I'm just over 60, have Stage3, and a super low WBC count. Yeah, I'm scared like hell to catch CoVid-19 which has caused me to no longer fear the regular flu. :D

I too have low WBC count. I am in the senior vulnerable group and following guidelines. Use grocery store pick up and drive thru at pharmacy. Staying in place. Thanks for pointing this out.
