You would need a gynaecologist specialist & someone in gynaecologist who deal with high risk pregnancy which is what you be under if you want a baby that would support your need because those with kidney problems need more support they may need give medication have you thought about the problem ur face if you go a head with having a baby it would put a great deal of pressure on the body gd luck

egf increases when the kidney does not function properly, dont eat red meat ,eat kidney friendly diets,

My egfr fluctuated from 54 to 28 over the last 4 years , u dont have to panic ,u can live with i

Go to you tube and type " Ginger treatment for kidney failure " and do the treatment yourself, you can overcome the the the situation.

if u are diabetic OR suffering from ,high blood pressure u are opt to get kidney problems

AS SAID ABOVE, YOU WOULD NEED HIGH RISK GYNO M.D. WORKING WITH YOUR KIDNEY M.D. I UNDERSTAND YOUR NEED FOR A BABY- BUT PLEASE-CONSIDER ADOPTION. PREGNANCY WITH CKD3 IS VERY DIFFICULT AND DANGEROUS FOR MOM AND BABY- WILL KEEP YOU IN PRAYER.

Hello Liza

Having a baby would have a serious effect on your kidney function. I am one of the few people who has had a baby whilst on dialysis. It is extremely rare. Although you still have some kidney function now, your kidneys have to work much harder if you are pregnant. This means that they could fail irreversibly, meaning you would be on dialysis and coping with a new baby. It also means that if you fall pregnant and your kidneys cannot keep your creatinine low, you could actually miscarry. Getting pregnant might be more difficult in itself.

I'm sorry this is quite negative. I think you should know the risks if trying for a baby. I was extremely lucky. When I had my son, I was the first on record in England. I was ill throughout the pregnancy and he was born at 7 months and was in special care for a long time.

I wish you luck.

Lisa -- For the sake of your health and that of the baby, please consider adoption. That way you may have the family you want and take the best possible care of the child and yourself.

My kidney function was around 50% before having 2 children. Now is dropped to 35% my doctor also suggest not having any more children. Ultimately its your choice but still a difficult one. Praying for you!
