kidney drainage tube is swollen
Is this causing you pain in your flank and stopping drainage of the kidney? You need to get to your doctor, but the trouble is they give you a sample bottle and of course when the results come back there is nothing there (because no urine is coming through). I would suggest that if you have any pain in your flank (kidney area) you go straight to A&E and get it sorted. I had this a few years ago and left it (too scared to do anything about it). I ended up on extremely strong anti biotics and also had a stent put in (which is totally nothing to be worried about if you need one) , before this, I also had a nephrostomy (to drain the kidney, again really, really nothing to be worried about).
Hi I wouldn't worry to much , I'm 43 at 39 found out I only had one kidney and it was blocked at the tube , had op to unblock , the only thing I will say is your go will not have a clue , if you are concerned ask to speak to a specialist , but normally if there is a concern you will get a follow up , hope this helps
Hope you are getting sorted. I advised A&E because if you aren't draining from your kidney there is a risk of infection (which is what happened to me) and of course this damages your kidney even more xx
So sorry to read about your problems; my wife had cancer on the tongue, and I have kidney failure. Put the two conditions together (I know that it is not exactly the same as your dilemma), but I can only just begin to imagine how much you are going through.
There is no need for me to advise you - you have had all good suggestions from other members, but I can say that I am thinking of you, and hope that you get sorted out.....
