Why is Kidney Buzz frowned upon?

A couple of questions in the posts today have led me to do some searching online. In both cases, I have seen postings from Kidney Buzz. At one time, I read that this is not a safe site, but I never saw why. Could someone please enlighten me?

Our members may have experiences and opinions that they can share.

Bear in mind that this is Early CKD support and many of kidney buzz’s postings related to chronic and advanced CKD situations.

Good question. I have used the web site occasionally for information on diet and general information on Kidney Disease, and find it to be helpful. They do say the site not operated by medical professionals. I think it is connected to U of California?

I have heard the same comment about not being safe. Do not know reason? Is it unsafe for computer reasons? So far have not received any notice of being unsafe from my security software?

That's kind of why I asked. I am not sure who raised the issue of it not being safe, but I know that I saw it here at least a few times. As a result, I have pretty much stayed away from it, but I would like to know why it is a problem.

Hmmmm, I’ve never heard that and I use it all the time! It has information on kidney updates as wearable kidney and bionic kidney. Also recipes. I’ve never had any problem

Hi I have been on Kidney buzz for a while and had no problems with the site,I keep looking at updates for artificial kidney.
