Hi, I have been put on the oral version of Semaglutide as I have bad GERD so doctors agree injection lasting a week might be too long in my system if I do get worsening GERD Symptoms or other side effects but I cannot really find out anything about GERD and oral version. Is anyone taking it and have bad GERD? I have been given it by doctor for diabetes and need to lose weight as have some heart problems. So just wondering if anyone knows do the side effects differ between oral and injection versions and how 'indigestion' as put in side effect show up in others?
Thanks

I took the tablet form as the injectable form wasn’t available, and I also have GERD and diabetes. It didn’t affect the GERD. I only took it for about 3 weeks as the injections became available.
Thanks for replys but must admit as yet the tablets lie untouched am so scared about the bad Gerd coming back - it is not the acid that bothers me so much but the mucus that forms when acid comes into throat and mouth, as it chokes me, have to actually scoop it out and have passed out and husband had to scoop it and whack my back to bring me around, so that terrifies me that it will happen again - I know can happen anyway but anything that even slightly can increase the chance of it happening I just, so far cannot bring myself to take but I am trying to brainwash myself into doing so as would help my diabetes and my heart doctor would like me to take it as well.
