Oral Surgery/Sensor Update/Picture

Here’s a picture I took last night of how the sensor I removed this morning was doing from last night before going to bed. Every time I was going to think about replacing the sensor, it would start working, again! This was very stressful over the night hours.

As for the update on after my oral surgery I had recently, my Surgeon took some xrays yesterday afternoon and said that he thought I was doing great! I can go back to eating normal food, but I can take the medication if I still have some pain. The pain is less than yesterday, so that’s great!😀👍

That graph is really odd isn’t it. Faulty sensor yet again?

That’s right.😫 The sensor was not working well— unlike the one before that one.

You always eat such healthy food Leah 👍. We are not so good in our household although we try ☹️. On the other hand I stopped all (nearly 😁) snacks like sweets, cake, crisps etc and it must be doing some good because the doctors rang me yesterday to say that I had returned the lowest HbA1c they have ever had from a diabetic patient and I could stop the Metformin immediately. I got the 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇬🇧🇺🇸 out 😁.

That’s fantastic news about your A1c and cutting down on the snacks. Way to go!😀👍

That sensor does look crazy! Familiar to me because I've had many of my 6's go wild. Just had an issue IT is wonderful and supportive sending me out a new replacent. My senor went off off and on the completly off for 24 hours asing for new blood levels which I would provide it did not record them. This morning it jumped on and at the number I ws at 75 had just started coffee and was grabbing OJ. Hate not having it working, then it soared to 220 I had not shot my insulin did before I check second nature, was only 107. Had a big breakfast fast. Night came the sesor was down all day and had not replaced with a new which I have, will do after a shower tomorrow. Husband is home to guard over me. Leah sorry yours is acting up it is so fustrating-alarms does bunny respond? Kodiak gave his first seizure response the other night , neuro said it could have been sugars. as fst as they dropped and came up. Debate on him yet. So happy you are able to eat some solids and are feeling better. You were always close to my thoughts.

Thank you for letting me know what is going on with your sensor. That’s not good if it’s not working most of the day/night.

The sensor I put in yesterday morning is acting up slightly, but I will have to see what happens soon. It already lost me twice today, now and I have been sitting with the receiver in my pocket.😫

Bunny isn’t trained for detecting low/high blood sugar issues. Actually, none of my cats were/are. Another reason for me to use my DEXCOM.

LOL do ot think cats respond! Dogs have a different smell sensation or as in seizure it's like thunder to them coming up. I just installed a new sensor at noon will see how this one does. I had many that only lasted a day or 2 and fails readings. Would ignre hoping it would resolve and not wanting to change anothe sensor. Last one did shock me and went the 10 days. Beore that replaced 4 in 6 8 or 9 days went through an entire 3 pack box from DEXCOM. IT has been wonderful at least I have back up we need to order more from DEXCOM wondering if our insurance will cover. Do like to have one exta in house since I loose signal so often. When husband is traveling he is o share and he gets worried with my numbers. That was another

Hi,

I'm glad you're doing well after your oral surgery. It's just a shame you are having problems with your sensors again.

TT x.

Thank you for the reply.

Yes, I’m feeling a lot better today.😀👍

The sensor sometimes thinks I’m out of range and can’t find me. It’s odd because I have the receiver in my pocket.

That's odd, could it be the material of your clothing blocking the signals?

Not sure, but a good idea.😀👍

Do you carry a credit/debt card wallet or purse that blocks signals to stop identity theft and keep your cards safe? If so, this might be stopping the sensor working.

I use a backpack for work and on the weekends.

Oh! I'm not sure what's causing your sensors to not work properly. Have you thought about asking the company to investigate?

Activity2004Administrator in reply toThyroidThora

Thought about it, but they are handmade.

I don't know what might be the problem then. I'm stumped!
