I had my HBA1C this week and had the results back and it came back as 98. I started taking mirtazapine after my last test. I feel absolutely fine and have never been in hospital because of my diabetes I also have high cholesterol. Will they just change my medication or up my dose or will they tell me I need to go to hospital?
My last doctors never really set goals/ targets or supported me. Told me that my hba1c was absolutely fine but I hadn’t been eating or drinking neither taking my medication due to illness.

Stress causes a build up of cortisol, excessive levels of cortisol cause (among other things) high cholesterol and high blood sugars. I've been explaining this to doctors for 10 years and they won't listen...
I've never been sent to hospital for anything diabetes related, it's hard to know if one should just go to A&E or see what the GP will do...good luck!
