Hi everyone I've just joined.

Been T1 since June last year. So far had a good run. Lowest 3.8, highest 17.3 but I was in Greece on holiday and it was very hot.

Had my annual review today.

My eyes are good, blood pressure bit high but might had white coat syndrome lol

My Hba1C was very high when I was first diagnosed 125. But through hard work and determination I got down to 72 then 48. And now today's 47 :)

Looking forward to hearing from everyone here :) hope your all having a great day.

Yes, the different temperatures can cause blood sugars to either go too low or too high. For me, I don't do well in temps. over 90 degrees. My numbers start to drop and I have to eat/drink something before I go too low. I've had type 1 Diabetes since I was 2 weeks old as an infant. I started using a CGM 5.5 years ago and it's helped with the A1c and daily blood sugars, but when the sensors don't do their job, it can be hard at times. I also count carbs. for each meal and snack. I eat a low carb high protein and gluten free diet. They help with the blood sugars and the wheat intolerance issues I have had for a few years.

I hope this helps you! 😀👍🌈

Great stuff ty for the info. I’m not carb counting yet but mite be soon. :)

I will be happy to help and send you the message later today before I have my lunch. Just got done with breakfast now (I’m here in the USA).How’s your blood sugars today?😀👍🌈

That’s cool different time zones. Breakfast was 7.7. Lunch was 8.3. Not sure why it went up. Had small bowl red K supposed to be healthy lol. And a cup tea with sweetners.

How big of a bowl/serving did you have of Red K? Size/total carbs.can cause blood sugars to go lower/higher than expected sometimes. What do you have for bedtime snacks?

Size wasn't that big hard to tell. Bed I usually have sugar free biscuits.

How much protein is in the biscuits for bedtime?😀👍🌈

I have a bar that has 20-30 grams of protein (21-27 total carbs) and a Greek yogurt on the side for extra protein each night.

I'd have to look :)
