Another New Sensor Today: DEXCOM

This week seems to be a never ending needing a new sensor. I put a new sensor in on Monday this week and that one was having issues all night into this morning. It was causing so many problems, I couldn't get another good night sleep. The alarms kept going off at very odd times of the night/morning saying that the system had no signal and no readings alert, This kept going on even after dinner and during the rest of the night. I had been woken up at one point and had a quick snack then went back to bed for a few more hours. When I woke up, I had a massive headache that mostly went away after lunch. It took a long time for that to happen, but I had some lunch around 12 noon, so that helped slightly. I'm thinking of maybe lowering the dose of insulin before bed tonight and see if that helps keep from going down when sleeping.

I called to get a free replacement sensor sent out and they say it should be here in 3-7 business days. Hopefully, the one I'm using doesn't have any issues. As long as I can get more than 3 days out of it, then I will be happy. Will see what happens in the next few days from now. Watch this spot for updates coming! :-)

Have a great evening everyone and stay happy, healthy and safe. :-)

It really does sound as though you have had quite a week.

I hope that you can have it all sorted very quickly.

Have a good night’s rest and a lovely day tomorrow, best wishes, Tim.

How long does that sensor supposed to last once it’s on your arm?

I use a Freestyle Libre and I get 14 days from it.

I use a sensor on the stomach and they should be good for10 days each. A lot of them are not doing that for me. Just 1 lasted for the right amount of time, so far.
