Wow! What a weird and strange day today for me. My day started really early this morning (4:30 am) because I had been woken up by my CGMβs alarm (under 80 mg/dl). I tested and had a snack with pineapple juice before going back to sleep for a few more hours.
During the day at work today, my transmitter and sensor fell off and then I got the sensor failed alarm going off at my front desk area. This all happened before 2 pm!
When I got home, I called the Tech Support and asked for a free sensor. The other thing is, not just am I going to be able to get a free sensor, but I will get a package of 10 transmitter patches for the G4, as well. The patches hopefully will be helpful.
More to come soon.ππ

Hi Herman7275 I don't mean to jump into your conversation with Leah but I'm sorry that you get migraines and wondered if you knew about taking magnesium to hep relieve migraines,
I take 500mg. a day, but never helped migraines, they won't let me to take any more, (liver), have had many, many migraines, and been with out C-Pap for 2 yrs. My mother had them real bad and my sister in her early years, Mom died of TIA's , always figured I would have same problems but never thought I would end up with liver issues from diabetes....but thanks for jumping in, always enjoys words from you!!! I always learn from Leah the good things you both do here at HU, keep up the good work and look forward to other replys from you.........
hey I checked the magnesium that I take and I am already taking oxide so that not going to help but thanks for trying, I really appreciate it! Youβre a great guy!!! Ron
Thank you Ron, I don't know why they recommend magnesium oxide as it is very poorly absorbed by our guts and acts like a laxative, there are much more absorbable magnesium supplements like chelated magnesium and magnesium citrate.
A great way of absorbing Mg is through the skin and I buy magnesium flakes and mix equal amounts of Mg flakes with boiling water dissolve and leave to cool then simply rub it on your skin, this helps with muscular pains and is absorbed by the skin so we don't get the stomach issues.
Migraines are debilitating so I feel for you and it might interest you that some tests show that B2 (Riboflavin) and Mg are a great combination for preventing migraines.
Thanks Jerry, I had not heard any of that before, thank you and I will check out my OTC supplier and see what they offer and what I can get and try it out... I look forward to talking with you in the future. Thanks again...Like I have said in the past Leah always talked you up so you were already in fantastic company, I agree with Leah.
It depends on the way they have been put together. The sensor is handmade.
I have to do finger testing even though I have a CGM. If the numbers are out of the 20% range, I have to do calibrations even after the twice a day/12 hours rule.
I did get a better nightβs sleep last night.ππ
