This morning, I changed my sensor from last week before going to my job. The old sensor had lasted for the week, but started having some issues in the evening before bedtime last night. The numbers were going down and up with the arrows going all over the place.
The new sensor is working great so far.😀👍 No complaints, yet!😀 Will see what happens soon!

One day someone will learn to make you a reliable unit! I know I keep going on about this but I cannot understand why, with all the available technology these days, this should be beyond the wit of man. It just can’t be ☹️. You must get so fed up with those units being so unreliable when you have to depend upon them so much. ☹️☹️.
Sometimes, it does get frustrating, but I try to see what happens before I get in touch with the Support crew to do something. They also ask if I need anything else before I hang up.😀
I read an article recently about the Freestyle Libre sensor that's available in the UK. Apparently, they've developed a Freestyle Libre 2 and it will be available to diabetics in the US soon. It has a lot of new features that seem really good. So, you might want to consider this blood glucose monitoring system, especially if your insurance will pay for it.
I was thinking of the Libre as an alternative, but it would have to have an alarm for low readings. The DEXCOM alarms when I’m dropping. Does the upgrade Libre alarm without having to check it yourself? When you’re sleeping?
Thank you for letting me know, ThyroidThora . That's great to know since I need alarms especially in the evening because I tend to drop while sleeping.
I had a Libre a few years ago that I bought. I climbed up Scar-Fell Pike in my 50th yr of T1 with the help of a Freestyle Libre. (was raining badly that day) Could not do finger stick tests. There & back excellent BG. Pleased ! I did "3 of the Tallest in my 50th yr of T1. The Shard, Big Ben & Scar-Fell pike.
When I had the Libre I found it Amazing. I could get blood samples out of my fingers without using a sharp. After to many tests ! £150 WELL spent & very informative for a diabetic who needs to know. I now have a sensor for my Medtronic insulin pump.
