Can being diabetic affect your sense of smell? I've noticed mine is more sensitive and smells affect me more. Like smelling certain 'nasty' things can make me physically sick and sweet smells are actually more sweet than they used to be. Am I just odd!!

interesting - was aware that diabetes can result in lower sensitivity to smells - part of the neurological effects - and the fact that I've never heard about being more affected by smells doesn't mean that this can't be an effect - people vary so much.

Maybe I'm just appreciating/noticing my food more now or it's because I'm eating less tasteless junk food!!
