Can one go for regular walk and take diabetic medicine before blood sugar test for FBS/PP
I think walk is no problem but not the medicine. For FBS it is advisable to be empty stomach for 12 hours(nothing except water) this time is 8 hours in overseas countries
Medicines should be taken in accordance with the doctor's advice. Suppose, you are to take a tablet for diabetes before food. Post Prandial is to be tested between 1.5 and 2 hours after food. You should take tablet in the normal course before food. Now, in so far as Fasting Blood Sugar is concerned, it is tested in the morning before taking food. So, where does the question of taking tablet before sugar test arises? I am afraid, the BS already low at this hour and if you take tablet because you have to take sugar test, sugar level get so low that it becomes serious. You may even swoon. This is known as hypoglycemia. Sugar level, below 70 is not good. If it is 45 or 50 it is emergency.
Walking is very good esp in the early monrning followed by few exercises. But pl avoid medicines before blood test since it will defeat the purpose
Yes you can. You may prepare your self for FBS test in a routine day and be in norlmal acts till your FBS test is done.
Your exercise, medication food etc should follow your daily routine.Blood sampling should be at appropriate time.Once while fasting(Just before BF) and again 1.5 to 2 hours after breakfast
FBS should be taken without taking medicines. You should take diabetic medicines usually along with meals.
If you going for a walk with empty stomach, care should be taken to prevent hypoglycemia. (You should keep sweets in your pocket). Brisk walking for 30 minutes will certainly reduce your blood sugar.
