It is available in any PANSARI shop.

I am taking it for last one year and the result is excellent .Please soak 8 phools in a glass of water overnight and early morning take the left overs of Phool out and drink the water. Don't go for taste as medicine is not to be compared with tasty Juices.

It costs about Rs. 100 per Kg.

Best of Luck

I think vkgopi is mentioning about paneer-doda, its a kind of dry phools which you soak in a glass of water over night and drink that water next day morning... I also tried for couple of days but the taste is horrible.

you are supposed to drink the water and not eatthe phool, please ensure you soak them overnight and drink the water only

Mr. Gupta, can I ask, after experimenting for 13 days, how has been the result of the paneer phool with you ?

in reply to Peace7

See my PP BG was upto 450. I had started insulin leaves about 45 days ago. Since progress was not there, I stared paneer k phool about 13 days ago. Now my PP was 196 today. In addition I take small karela juice and also 1 heaped tea spoon Madhumehantak Churan (Krishna Herbal- bought from SnapDeal); 1/4 powder jamoon seeds, 1 spoon dried karela pdr to bring down quickly and eliminating most allopathic drugs as they were increasing my weight.

Dear Mr. Gupta

A friend of mine told me about Paneer Doda 3 days back and said that her mother was controlling diabetes for 30 years with this.

Now, I purchased and tried it today for the first time. The PP sugar level shot upto 225 (normally it is under 140).

I am a little perturbed. Is this normal?

Looking forward to your reply.

Thanks.

in reply to NishuG

Nishuji, If you dont mind pls answer. How many phools and how much water? How did u hv them. What time? What and when did u eat be4 the phool, and similarly what and when u ate after the phool. What time did u check yr BS. What did yu do between the time u ate the phool and checked yr BS. What time did u take walk/exercise. I am not a Doctor, not very intelligent and mind works at relaxed pace, so asked u these questions. Intentions are to try and help u. Dont be scared u continue sister.

Thank you Anilji

for your response.

I had put 10 flowers in a glass of water. I had that water around 7 am, first thing after I got up.

My breakfast time is 8.30, hence had my insulin shot (Novo rapid - 10 units), a Gymnema Sylvestre-Gurmar capsule before the breakfast that comprised of wholewheat bread with a boiled egg and ginger tea.

Following this I took my ayurvedic medicine for diabetes.

I sat down to finish some work and then checked my BS at 10.30.

I exercised for about 15 minutes at about 10.45.

I was diagnosed with Diabetic Ketoacidosis on 31st March 2013. My HBA1C was 14.3 then. After 4 days in the hospital I was sent home with the following medication:

Novorapid thrice a day (before b/f and lunch-14 units and before dinner-10 units and JANUMET 50/1000 twice day). Every night I took Lantus shot of 18 units.

Over the months, the Novorapid has reduced to 10 units twice and 8 units once; Lantus remains at 18 units. JANUMET 50/500 is twice a day.

My last HBA1C, done about 4 months ago, was 6.3.

My doctor has assured me that in about 6 months time I will be completely off of insulin.

I would like to benefit from your experiences with DIabetes. Please advise.

You can soak 15-20 Paneer phool ( depending on your blood sugar levels my suger level was @250-270 so I am taking 17 Paneer phool but remember I am not taking any other medications) overnight and consume it on empty stomach at morning. You will see nothing till 20-25 days but after that your blood sugar levels will be noticeable low.( Depending person to person as some time it can take 1 month also) now my suger level is 90-99 and I can eat anything including sweet and rice etc. But please consult with aayurvedic doctor before starting this Paneer phool as once your blood sugar levels will low, you will be in problem bcz your sugar will not get normal by doing anything as Paneer phool works as natural insulin. Hence quantity of the phool is very much important. Hence it is advisable that you start with low amount and after 25 days increase the phool as per you blood sugar levels.

Diabetes: Mix a cup of watercress seeds (jal-halim) with a cup of whole kalonji, half a cup of pomegranate peel, and half a cup of fumitory(shahtara/ pitpapra). Grind the mixture to powder. Take half a teaspoon of the mixture together with a teaspoon (5ml) of kalonji oil daily before breakfast for one month.

If I forget to soak, i use some from the small stock i hv ground in mixer and swallow like u. Same result. You should not take anything blindly. Take only those which hae been used since ages. There are also tests for Liver and kidney health which you should do every year or 6 months depending on current status. Ask the Dr if he can guarantee in writing that his medicines are free from side effects. Allopathic meds affect liver, kidney and screw up the pancreas totally. Ayur helps bring under control through repair work. This why some of our here to share and learn what works best.

Dear Mr Anil Gupta what is the latest improvement in your BS after using Paneer doda for last 3 months.

see my bs is now 115-189 max. It used to go upto 470. Most of my allopathic medicines are out. But pls do not be misled as I am also taking insulin leaves since nearly 4 months and they have their own controlling as well as curaive effect. Also i am taking long wheat mash diet as advised by Shooter George. He is a tough task master. Drayurved prescribed some ayurvedic medicines which i have now mostly replaced the allopathic medicines I am very active now, in good mood. There has also been considerable spiritual guidance and motivation by my guru Peace7. Diabetes does not come by single reason and i think it takes more than one solution with faith, blessings of God and support of community. I owe it to Drayurveda, Peace7 and Shooter George (in alphabetic order as my sugar level is low now and mind needs a cup of tea. I have tried to repay by guiding others. I do not sell anything.

Thank you for guidance. Detected DMT2 few years back at the level of 165/325 with Hba1c of 9.5. I had taken the Metformin just one month and thereafter I am controlling through my diet, walking and home remedial / ayurveda and maintaining the level of 115-200 and quarterly Hba1c ranging to 5.5 - 7. I have been using paneer doda since one month and will check the BS in few days. I had tried most of the home remedial one by one or simultaneously 1-2 but could not identify which one is more effective for me. So for last one month I am sticked to Paneer Doda only. Let us see how much it controls my Sugar level. I have searched for insulin leaves and its hindi name is Keukand but I had never heard this name. Do you chew this leaves or take as churna. I could not find Long wheat in my area.

in reply to ranj

Keukand is Costus speciousus. It is used for fever etc. Insulin leaves are from Costus Pictuys and Costus Igneus. ( two names as colour of flower is little different) properties supposed to be similar. Long wheat is Khapli Gehun. Feb new crop will come. Where do u stay? let us know abt yr progress with Paneer Doda.

ranj profile image
ranj in reply to

Thank you for informing the correct name of Insulin leaves. I have googled the same and found interesting research article which concludes that it is not effective. I stay in Chandigarh and could find Khapli Gehun at any grocery shop. Yes, I will definitely let you know my latest BS level after receiving my strips.

@@@

Glucose uptake was not significantly increased by C. pictus extract and the extract was found to be less effective than insulin. The glucose uptake was significantly more in all the groups tested except in the C. pictus group, when compared to the control group. Results were compared with those of insulin (injectable antidiabetic) and metformin (oral antidiabetic), which were used as a standard antidiabetic drugs. Insulin (1 IU/ml) and metformin (100 μg/ml) enhanced the glucose uptake by 148.79 ± 4.64% and 71.50 ± 6.25%, respectively, over control. The extract was also tested with insulin to confirm any synergistic effect, but results indicated that the extract did not have any synergistic effect with insulin. The extract and insulin enhanced the glucose uptake in L6 cells by 149.76 ± 5.15% over control, when used together. In India, C. pictus is grown in garden, especially in Kerala, where the fresh raw leaves are eaten by diabetic people. It is turning out be a munching dietary supplement for diabetes, as it is thought to lower raised blood sugar level considerably.

In conclusion, we found that the extract of C. pictus leaves does not significantly stimulate glucose uptake by L6 skeletal muscle cells. It appears that C. pictus has no direct peripheral action. Further studies with estimation of insulin and insulin receptor may give more insight into the mechanism of the antidiabetic activity of C. pictus D. Don.

I agree - I tried both and they did nothing at all. You could try Lagerstoemia speciosa (aka Banaba) instead. it is grown all over India. You can combine it with bougainvillea. Leaves only for both plants.  For Lagerstroemia, pick only the leaves that have turned orange or brown as they contain the highest active glucose-lowering agent called corosolic acid.  Just infuse the leaves like tea.

Hi There Gupta ji. I have read the complete thread and must say am impressed by your determination and the results thereof. I have a stubborn PP that is leading me to Insulin shots (I am afraid). However, I do not wish to get on to insulin as I have seen the side effects it brought to my mother who succumbed to kidney failures at an early age.

Needed to know what are these "insulin leaves" that you are constantly mentioning? Shall appreciate if you can update us on the same.

Secondly do Paneer ke Phool have Sulphur in it? I am strongly allergic to Sulpha and Pennicilin. My friend has couriered these phool to me from Jaipur and I wanted to be doubly sure before starting it. Chanced upon this thread and am so happy to be part of this group. Very informative.

Thank you all, Regards,

Swati.

in reply to swati-mrugi

can you take eggs? Eggs are also rich in Sulphur and hence decayed eggs smell of H2S? Sulphur, in nature's products, comes in compounded form, not elemental sulphur. God alone knows if a guy sprayed anything containing suplha or pennicilin. You can take the product to an analytical lab owned and run by a PhD and seek his advise. I do not have a lab and unable to respond competently. Sorry Ma'm.

swati-mrugi profile image
swati-mrugi in reply to

Dear Gupta ji, No I can't eat eggs. Even half an inch of boiled egg consumption causes vomits and severe allergy on whole body with blisters every where. Hence a bit worried. I did check through some research papers yday that talk about chemical composition. There are alkanoids and binding item is Sulphur. But I am not sure, as you rightly said, need to get it checked from some lab etc.

in reply to swati-mrugi

Paneer Doda- you could start with one and go upto 7 increasing 1 per day if you feel good and without allergy. This is dark yellow and the pigment could be from Sulphur, so be very careful. Insulin leaves are dark green and raspberry like taste which is not so with Sulphur containing foods. You could be safer there. Also the plant needs sand and some red soil, grows fast and so i feel it does not get the sulphur as it grows. Start with one small leaf and then go up 2 leaves morning, 2 evg. Also try guduchi/giloy leaves and for faster result..I feel sorry.

I tried doing this for a month. However removing wheat form meals caused my Haemoglobin to drop 2-3 points. I do not eat rice and had also removed wheat from my intake. How else to reduce carbs from the diet?

in reply to swati-mrugi

Easy - just incorporate immature jackruit into your diet. You have to cook it along with curry for example for at least 45 minutes. Infuse the leaves of jackfruit in boiling water to drink as tea. For a stronger brew, decoct the leaves instead of infusing them.  Both of them have powerful effects so don't over do them.

I phoned his clinic. They said I should not take rice and continue with all allopoathic meds plus the ones they send and it will take time.

Hey everyone I read all your queries regarding consumption and purchase of paneer phool/doda.

Its my real life experience, i have used it and it really works like magic. You can find procedure to use it at attarayurveda.com/product/p... . Also you can purchase it from there only at just Rs.320 which last for more than 30 days.

Hope my comment helped others

Dear Gopi

Don't swallow . It inner part is rough and has hard fibre to digest . Hence , after soaking and using water , you can resoak the same into water three times . But suggestion is for second and third time soaking the same seed , put it into fridge , for avoiding restricting its fermenting smell . you can use a ponch of Sounf ( fennel or aniseed in english) to suppress the smell .

But never and never swallow.

Sir my dad is diabetic from last 13 years. From last few months, he has severe pain in legs (diabetic neuropathy). He can't walk more than 10-15 steps. He doesn't even eat properly now.

Will this herb help?

Anyone please reply

No.... it wont...as T2 is mainly Insulin resistance issue... and this herb is known to increase more insulin... which means your dad will produce more insulin and develop more IR...

Best way is to reduce carbs and break that cycle...
