Hello, I have been taking Fenugreek(Methi) seeds from last 7 days as I am a pre-diabetic, and I read several reports that Fenugreek seeds are very good for lessening FBS, PPBS and also Lipids, especially in Pre-diabetics. My doubt is that does it not lessen the HBA1c also in Pre-diabetics, as that will also be at a high level, and does it not bring it down to normal HbA1c after taking Fenugreek seeds for sometime? And approximately how long does one have to take fenugreek seeds to show positive results in the blood tests? Someone please advise. Thanks to everyone in advance.
Regards,
Sudha

HbA1c is nothing, but average of last three months blood sugar in your body.if frengueek seed has the capacity to bring the B's down than automatically Hba1c will be down ,this reply is to only about your doubt regarding Hba1c, I do not know about any benefit from frengueek seed.
Nothing can be said for sure for effect of fenugreek seeds and no authentic view is available. However if you reduce your carbs intake and try to limit within total 100 gms per day, you will be able to make significant impact on your HbA1c
Further to my earlier post on your query, I wish to mention that exercise coupled with reduction in total carb intake daily will definitely bring down HbA1c. You may have to do daily brisk walk/ jog for about 40 minutes.
