My readings are 100/130 which was earlier 118/140 . Hba1c is 5.6 which was earlier 6

This results are after intense diet. Cut all sugars/Baker/Fried/Oils etc. As a south Indian we are prone to rice , so limiting myself rice at one time. I'm now taking vegetables salads daily morning and night with ACV. Due to this drastic cut or may be my ignorance ,i have become leaner from 74kg to 67kg. Im 173cm tall.

Can anyone help me whats the ratio of proteins or fats one must include in a day to keep/maintain weight.

dhini,

Congratulations on your achievements. Why do you think your body weight is too low. You have achieved a healthy weight. 67 kg for your height means your BMI is 22.4 which is a very healthy. Has your weight stabilised or it is still dropping? If it has stabilised then you do not have to make any changes. If it is still dropping then increase the amount of the healthy fat in your diet. Keep monitoring your weight weekly and adjust the amount of healthy fat accordingly.

PROTEIN: If you have an average body-built, you should consume about 1gm/kg of your reference body weight. If you are engaged in muscle-building by strength training then you may consider higher protein 1.5 - 2gm/kg of your reference body weight.

Reference bodyweight is your final bodyweight which you are aiming for.

Eat as per your appetite. Cut the carbohydrate as you have already done. Choose protein as per above and rest of the energy should be derived from healthy fats.

I think you are doing a fine job of managing your diabetes.Keep going on the same lines and keep making finer adjustments as you grow older, since diabetes is a progressive disorder.
