I had half a bowl of cooked spinach and red beans (rajmah) alongwith cucumber salad in lunch yesterday. I was surprised to find a spike of 166 PPBS.what may be the cause?no Roti or grains were taken.

Did you have any tomatoes in the cucumber salad?
Unless we know your sugar level before lunch,it is not possible to say whether your lunch caused the spike.Test again with both pre and post prondial levels.
Anup Ji I get so much inspiration from you regarding management of DM 2.I want to remain med free.but the same food item behaves differently at times.there is a nutritionist Dr biswaroop who advocates eating fruits till 12 noon and then raw veg in lunch and dinner.its not sustainable.fructose from fruits will ultimately stored as liver fat.lchf is better.but I was avoiding fat prior to being familiar with lchf.i 've to still find out what's wrong with my diet as I m not getting stable results. I had been avoiding eggs and milk too as most of the nutritionists Advocate.please keep advising
Have you tried more protein and low carb?
Yes .but without carbs and fats it leads to weakness and lethargy
