Blood Sugar
Fasting blood sugar (FBS) should be less than 100 mg/dL.
Postprandial blood sugar (PPBS) should be less than 140 mg/dL.
Adopting diabetic diet and moderate exercise may lower your high blood sugar. Your high blood sugar (>180 mg/dL) after consuming food may cause excretion of glucose along with urine.
Undergo HbA1c test.
You may take metformin 500 mg twice daily in consultation a diabetologist. Otherwise you may wait for 3 more months and see whether you can lower blood sugar level by diet and exercise.

Welcome to the group. Both blood sugar levels that you have given are those of diabetic range. Fasting above 126 and PP above 200 come under diabetic range. Most logical step forward will be to discuss with your doctor and take the HbA1c blood test which will give an average value of blood sugar in the previous three months.
The Doctor only will confirm your status as diabetes or pre-diabetes. Depending on your current health you may need suitable changes in lifestyle. But first, you should discuss with your doctor.
Sometimes you can bring down sugar levels by moderate reduction in body weight,if your weight is on higher side.Try it,it is healthier in other ways also.
You need to consult an end-chronologist to get on the track of right medication and diet control, to avoid the readings worsening.
