the physicians tell us diabetics that our sugar levels should be below 120 fasting and below 140? pp. but the levels should be so rigid or we can have some leeway. I find my fasting levels are generally below 110, but pp sometimes shoots up above 200. Of course if I eat sensibly, I can keep it below 160 or even 140. Should I worry or can I continue my level of control. what do my diabetic friends feel. I am quite active. I am 65 +, weight 56 height 5 ft 6. I walk at least 2 km on daily basis.

Minor fluctuations maybe tolerated but it should not be regular.140 is a safe limit.Try your best within that limit.Problem with diabetes is that it becomes increasingly difficult as you age.

To avoid any damage to organs,
FBS < 100 preferably < 90.
PPBS < 140 all times and < 120, 2 hrs after start of a meal.
You are going fine. Only if your PPBS registers beyond 200, take some preventive steps. Stop worrying!
thank you
was it something else previously. I don't remember.
