Need help: LCHF- Low carb understood but what... - Diabetes India
Need help
No sugar. use stevia drops
Stop all refined wheat & all packaged products
use less grains & root vegetables.
Use more non starchy veggies
Use ghee, butter, virgin coconut oil, paneer , cheese, avocado , coconut, extra virgin olive oil (olive oil for salads only)
For high fat eat normal cheeses, normal unsweetened yoghourt, and in fact all unprocessed dairy products like butter etc. I take it that you are not vegetarian in which case make sure that your meat has a reasonable amount of fat on and also within the flesh. Cook using lard, butter and any animal fat but never with the processed seed oils; sunflower, rape seed, etc.
I hope that helps.
@ manishasukhadev.....on LCHF.....One has to restrict carbs to a minimum, out of preparations from wheat and rice, like chapati, paratha,idli,dosa,etc... restrict chapati to not more than one daily ,rice not more than to half a cup daily.. (Avoid both if possible),eat bason chilla, lot of amul butter, simple cheese strings,VCO,egg preparations, starchfree vegetable.Eat ample nuts like Peanuts, walnuts and Almonds when ever you feel hungry.Restrict permissible small fruit to daily one.Ensure to restrict daily carb intake to 100 gms.
See various postings here and on dlife.in ,to find LCHF Preparations.
The ones who have controlled sugar and lipids and their side effects are not doctors by themselves but have doctored the art and science of LCHF.These are experimenters who have become drug free, and guiding the diabetics here.Take advantage of their experimentation.
Mr Bernstein, who was an Engineer and juvenile diabetic, had to become Doctor to propagate LCHF,He is the Author of book Diabetic solutions. He is drug free and Greatman and God of LCHF.
You better buy one kitchen weighing machine (approx.Rs 500),to count and restrict carbs.Keep record of blood sugars.See changes after a month. You will be happy to see how numbers slide down.
Fats and diabetes. All of us need to follow a healthy, balanced diet which is low in fat. ... Having too much saturated fat in your diet can cause high levels of what's known as 'bad cholesterol' (low-density lipoprotein or LDL), which increases the risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD).
