Hi and welcome to the group, RatiG . It’s normal to feel sad and down after being told you have been diagnosed as a diabetic. Everyone is different from each other and so is Diabetes. Some people have brittle diabetes
( drop low faster than normal). Other people are type 1 (Juvinile Diabetes) where the pancreas is not able to put insulin out on its own and have to do insulin shots along with multiple tests a day and also count carbs for each meal and snack. Type 2 is medication and exercise with diet and sometimes shots if the other options don’t work on their own. LADA is 1.5 between 1 and 2.

I hope this helps!😀👍 If you have any other questions, please feel free to let us know anytime and we will be happy to help you out as much as we can.
Don't feel sad. Rather spent time on internet to understand the disease and learn how people manage. There are people controlling diabetes with life style changes minus medicine.
The numbers are higher than the reference ranges. You should definitely take notice and act but do not be unduly worried about it.Worry and stress aggravates the situation. What is your weight?Calculate your BODY MASS INDEX?(Internet will help you how to calculate it),and try to bring it to lower safe range.Reduction of even a few kilos will go a long way to bring down the numbers.
Gather thorough knowledge about diabetes in all it's facets.Because it is a lifestyle metabolic disorder and not a disease that can be cured with some medication or surgery,It has to be managed by you and thorough knowledge about the disorder will help you to manage it successfully,of course with the help of medical professionals.
Understand concepts of glycemic index of foods and glycemic load.Search the internet to know about these concepts and practice them because diet plays a predominant role in keeping diabetes under control.
Increase your physical activity significantly like jogging, walking, swimming, tennis etc.
There is no reason why you should not keep diabetes at bay for long time to come and lead a healthy life. You can use the search function on this web page to access all the earlier posts by experienced diabetics and take benefit from their personal experiences
Dear RatiG, you have come to the right place - a support group that is empathetic as well as well-informed about diabetes to give you sound advice. I felt so terrible when my daughter was diagnosed with diabetes and breast cancer 2 years ago at the age of 34. That is when while surfing I came upon Health Unlocked. Her diabetes is under control, cancer treatment done, and she is back at work with an NGO. All of us at home are trying to eat healthier than we have done in years.
I remember my daughter’s cancer specialist (herself with a hunchback) saying at that time.’Stop thinking about why it came. What did I do wrong? Each person has their own demons. Just get over it and get on with life’. It’s been good advice. So, chin up, welcome here and keep posting updates about your health.
Yes, he was one of the people who encouraged me, provided information on LCHF. We are in a far better place in life than in 2016 when the crisis struck.
Start with reports to know your diabetes.
RatiG: Only ur fasting is high, a lil high. Ur a borderline case, only 36yr, don't worry, with management you will be fine for decades.
Surely, you don't understand english well. "Only fasting" is high, not PP. 126 is borderline, not full blown. U seem to hv little experience in this field.
Sunnybhai ,
I will be sending you a private message very soon. I will let you know when it has been sent.
