That's very nice. Congrats. Can you please share details of your fasting. How many hours at a stretch? Can we eat anything or have tea in between etc?

I take only one meal daily with more raw food and sprouted food peanut and only one chapati with one bowl subji and one bowl Dal in morning at 10 AM. Instead of dinner I take some fruits. Twice in a week I take only lunch and fast for 24 hours. I don't take tea, coffee, milk. I am vegitarian.

Health Risks. Not eating when taking insulin or certain other diabetes medications can raise the risk of hypoglycemia (low blood glucose). ... High blood glucose can also be an issue during fasting. People often cut back on medication while fasting to lower the risk of hypoglycemia.

Both fasting - intermittent or otherwise - and feasting are taboo for diabetics. Eat moderately permitted items of food, exercise, stick to medication.

This may be true for certain period of time, but in long run it is risky & may cause damages to organs due to sudden drop or rise of blood sugar .always have middle way-Suvarn madhhya.

Some who take insulin shots are in need to eat every few hours. They are proned to drop if they don't eat after the doses are taken at the time.

For a Type 1 that is going for surgery and is told not to eat anything, they must have a talk with the doctor before the day of the surgery and work out a way to do less of a dose so they don't drop. You might be able to take certain medications the day of the surgery, but again, that person has to ask the doctor/surgeon what can be done/taken so they don't have to reschedule. I had surgery almost 4 years ago and was told to take insulin, blood pressure meds. and anticonvulsants so I wouldn't have seizures and/or high blood pressure because of the stress. This was good since the blood pressure and blood sugars did go very high afterwards.

When i observed my first 24 hours fast i realised that there is no sudden drop of bs. I had meal at 10 AM my bs was 116 at 6 PM. ie after eight hours.and in the next morning at 7 AM bs was 108 ie after 21 hours without having any food. With no medicine.
