dear All

pls tell at what stage its decided to go for insulin? what is d criteria ?few people told me that insulin is better than medicine for our body....whats d fact

When you are type 1 diabetic.

If type 2, alter your diet and you will in all likelihood never need to take insulin.

Only your doctor can recommend this. Only he can decide whether insulin is required to patient or not.

you are right but understand your disease. Don't just go blindly as doctors suggest. They would be interested in money name and fame. They will not apply their minds seriously but would scribble few medicines.

Find a genuine doctor esp for diabetes who just doesn't scribble meds.

We are not insulin deficient but insulin resistsnt. We have enough insulin in our body. Pushing more into our blood doesn't beget much benefit. Meds are preferred as they decrease IR. Better try diet exercise and all other means to get over IR. Insulin should be the last and as an ultimate resort.

Medicines are used to utilise your body's natural insulin to secrete by squeezing pancreas and once natural insulin is not available in body your medicines will not respond to reduce sugar. So doctor suggests to take insulin from outside to reduce your sugar level. You can feel the difference between medicines and outside insulin as medicines will have great side effects and outside insulin when injected you will feel very much better in energy and your will definitely improve your weight and look like normal person. However diet exercise and medicines or insulin play important role for the rest of life.

all the medicine do not squeeze pancreas. Metformin is one which prevent rapid destruction of endogenous insulin.

Till drugs are effective i don't think one should take insulin shots.
