Suggest proper medicines for better sugar control.
You should abide by the doctor's advice only as far as medicines are concerned. What kind of oats are you using?Oatmeal has glycemic index of 55 and instant oats 79.I use steel cut oats with a glycemic index of 42.It might be better for sugar control. You mentioned one bowl of oats. What is the dry weight of oats in the bowl?It should be moderated.
Composition for Glycomet-GP 2 Tablet SR is Glimepiride (2mg), Metformin (500mg)
Composition for Jalra M 50/500 is Vidagliptin (50 mg), Metformin (500 mg).
Glimepiride is used along with diet and exercise, and sometimes with other medications, to treat type 2 diabetes (condition in which the body does not use insulin normally and, therefore, cannot control the amount of sugar in the blood). Glimepiride lowers blood sugar by causing the pancreas to produce insulin (a natural substance that is needed to break down sugar in the body) and helping the body use insulin efficiently. This medication will only help lower blood sugar in people whose bodies produce insulin naturally.
Metformin is used alone or with other medications, including insulin, to treat type 2 diabetes (condition in which the body does not use insulin normally and, therefore, cannot control the amount of sugar in the blood). Metformin is in a class of drugs called biguanides. Metformin helps to control the amount of glucose (sugar) in your blood. It decreases the amount of glucose you absorb from your food and the amount of glucose made by your liver. Metformin also increases your body's response to insulin, a natural substance that controls the amount of glucose in the blood.
Vildagliptin is an oral anti-hyperglycemic agent (anti-diabetic drug) of the new dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor class of drugs. Vildagliptin has been shown to reduce hyperglycemia in type 2 diabetes mellitus.
Guidelines:--
Self blood sugar monitoring may be done daily.
Adopt low-carbohydrate diet. Fiber contained foods may delay digestion and assimilation of glucose in the blood.
Exercise (brisk walking) may be done for 15 minutes after every meal.
Avoid or minimize the foods that cause high blood sugar.

Anup, interesting to note you are managing with out medication. These days Dr Vishwarup is on you tube advertising diabetes can be reversed in 72 hrs and he has proved.
Please advise me your LCHF diet, I would like to follow.
I too have the conviction he is a fraud. He shows in the video his blood sugar comes down from 160 to 100 something with fructose. I tried it with a custard apple when my sugar was 104. It suddenly went to 146. He is really a thug.
I would like to follow your advice on LCHF diet. Definitely take care of your requirements. 🙏
