Hi taiching88. i read your post about no response to your question. I don't think it is on purpose. as for me, I have not heard about this medicine, hence did not respond. i googled and found that per Indiatoday news of sept 27, "Boehringer to launch diabetes drug Jardiance in India by Nov". wait or keep enquiring at your regular or popular drug store in your area.

What's the need to take this medication? It's a new class of drug. If your control is good Please avoid. No need to take. It's not a miracle drug. Though the trails show reduction in cardio vascular incidents remember that it's a new class of drug and not extensively tried. Also it acts at the kidney level and just prevents reabsorbtion of glucose from kidney to blood. It's good only for advanced uncontrolled diabetics. Many good and safer options available. These class of drugs may lead to Bladder infection or even bladder cancer.

Believe me as I work for pharma industry. If you are a recent diabetic or for last few years control thru diet, exercise and other simple medications like metformin.
