Dear Shameena_parvin,please go through the following link:
I endorse MYDBgone's comment above.Thanks.
Normally my fbs come between 93 to 101 but yesterday I eat 2 big makke di roti with sarso ka saag and lots of ghee. And today my fbs came 83.
I want to know does anyone here experiment with different carbs sources with their bs like makke ki roti, bajre ki roti or kutu ki roti?
What's your experience says
Today i have read in Times of india CSIR has tested and provided ayurveda medicine for Diabetic type 2 name BGR34 will come in the market with in 15 days and very useful it also states metaformin has side effect but if u taking b12 as supplement then no problem or u must eat green vegs
Yes. We have REVERSED them in even chronic insulin dependent cases.
What is required is commitment to diet, exercise and discipline with self.God blessess those who help themselves
NON CURABLE for you perhaps. Not so though for the many who have followed plans that tell you how to reverse diabetes.
The fact is because you have not wanted to do what you have to it is easier to deride something than admit your own failings.
You say you are medication free and if your sugar levels are normal how can you say that diabetes is non curable? True there are many that offer plans that cost and deliver nothing but that is up to those to research and go by methods that do work.
Two years ago I was diagnosed as type 2 and I probably had diabetes for over 15 years. My sugar levels on fasting was almost 20 uk reading and the doctor would have wanted me to go on insulin. I wouldn't entertain that idea without proof there was no alternative. I went on medication, gliclozide. for a while and researched. I then reduced the medication and have now been off for a long time.
Yes my lifestyle has had to change but the thought of what diabetes can do has motivated me to make the sacrifices needed. I feel healthier as a result.
If I can do it so can many others. However most that I know who have diabetes are still on medication and eating the same things that cause the problems. Its about choices. I feel my health is more important than the food I used to enjoy.
So what you are saying is that if you eat food that is bad for you then you can become ill. Well that is down to you.
I cannot comment on your readings as they are different in the UK. I also don't know who these mainstreams are supposed to be. As far as I know the diet of high carb low fat was dumped years ago.
Thankyou for the conversion.
There are very good sources out there to read including Joel Fuhrman, Neal Barnard, David Cavan, etc.. I don't base my plan on any one but I have learnt from each one.
Even the diabetic nurses and nutritionists over here did not advocate high carbs and I don't think the orthodox approach goes far enough.
Personally I think each person has to find their own balance as one food may affect one person in a different way than another. Also I find that sometimes a meal that should spike me does not and vice versa. What is most helpful though is having the ability to check your own blood sugar level through the monitor.
Here is a link to diabetes uk I hope you find this info as useful as I have.
That is why it is best to cross reference what these people say and find what works and is best for you.
I hope at least that I have convinced you that at least over here we do not advocate a high carb diet.
Good luck to you.
