Sorry, I failed to understand and you are welcome to explain in technical terms. Thank you.

No problem though a very lame excuse.😀😀😀

Every comment posted on others blog is judgemental. Just like your comment on my post ,which is also judgemental . Nothing against the rules.

If I had said that you either don't know or are unable to explain the very thing lchf of which you are a protagonist then it would have been against the rules. But I said no such thing.

So it is quite apparent that you are misrepresenting the comments. Refrain from this childish play . You are always free to put a complaint with admn.😀

It was very innocuous comment.

Fasting and starving are tow different things. But you already know that I suppose :-)

I am sorry to say that no one is coming forward to explain why and how eating high fat reduces weight. Is there any scientific basis behind this or it is simply based on personal experiences.

patliputra profile image
patliputra

So you want to say that lchf is only a concept without any rationale or scientific basis ?

I could give 100's of studies that validate lchf.

Hey the entire nation of Sweden has formally adopted lchf eating.

I am still to get clarification on my query. I take that there is no plausible explanation why eating fat will reduce fat.

patliputra profile image
patliputra

I fully understand your blog. Why do you suppose that there is no carb. And also why do you suppose there is no insulin.

So please do not elaborate anything.

Concerned, my blog was very sincere and I genuinely wanted to clear doubts ,but instead of explaining ,it is being given a different colour.

Now returning to the topic, suppose my calorie requirement is around 2000. So according to lchf I take 20c+20p+60f, this comes to about

100gmC+100gm P+130gm F =2000 (roughly). So we are fulfilling our energy needs completely. So far so good. Now the question is ,there is no need for additional energy,so why should stored fat burn and cause weight loss ?

patliputra profile image
patliputra

It appears to me that the statement contains some contradiction. But it has become obvious from the post that calorie restriction is the cause of weight reduction ,a point always raised by Indiacratus. So whatever diet one takes ,calorie restriction is a must for weight reduction.

patliputra profile image
patliputra

Rao, that clearly affirms my submission that whatever diet you eat, it is calorie restriction which causes weight loss.

Funny eating 3000 to 4000 calories a day for 5 weeks at 75% fat sitting on my ass I lost 5 lbs...

Seems a calorie isn't a calorie after all in a body restricted of sugar..a ketogenic body is burning fat 24x7. A sugar body only burns fat a few hours at night...

Reduction or elimination of hunger pangs does not mean loss of appetite. With hunger pangs one tend to over eat and that will cause gain in weight. So when hunger pangs are gone, this over eating stops and resultant effect on weight.

Here I am not going into causes of hunger pangs or what it is. So any specific diet is required to stop this over eating, there is a great ? ? ?

patliputra profile image

If one takes calorie restricted diet does not mean that one has to remain in perpetual hunger. There are types of food which are very low on calorie but very high in satiety value.

patliputra profile image

One has to believe in rational deductions and logical conclusions.

patliputra profile image

There can be a great debate on hunger and satiety. This thing goes beyond physiology and enters psychology. So some other time.

There is disagreement in our views. At the moment I am not going into it "raj ko raj he rahne do abhi ."

Thanking for sharing video, but sorry I don't watch videos. A short summary would have sufficed. Still, thank you for your efforts.

All calories are not same. A long time back I wrote about it.

For the first part I am in disagreement. Thank you.

It's a changing world. Opinions are, formed and defended and then challenged , some stand the test of time while others are forgotten. So let different views flow and let the time decide. It is only a process though which a clear understanding of a subject is arrived. Just like refining process when pure gold comes out of ore.

My opinion is that as per experts there is no cure for diabetes and it is established that with Doctor's diet (High Carb, low Fat) you can't control diabetes for long (this doctors will only tell you). So if any of the expert opinion is not helping at all then why we can't try LCHF for ourselves and observe our body's response for few days before taking the decision? After all it is our body and we have full right to experiment on it. And more over there are many people who tell that they have happily controlled BS levels with LCHF.

Some people don't understand there is nothing ethical or unethical in particular diet pattern. So all inuit will be unethical because they are mostly eating fat. :D

Duke, OSU,Perdue, and Harvard have all written scientific articles and studies that advocate high fat diets especially for insulin resistant persons. Articles advocating high fat are also in the National Institute of HEALTH.

Only carbohydrates & sugas create a rise in blood sugar levels. This is a clinical fact which is 100% irefutable. As blood sugars rise insulin is secreted to try and help lower blood dugar levels within a normal 80 to 120 range.

Most type 2 diabetics overly secrete insulin and this begins perhaps a decade or more before any signs are detected of high blood sugars. Doctors rarely assess insulin levels in their patients do this disease is largely undetected as it begins with High Insulin levels long before symptoms of high blood sugars exist.

To control diabetes you must attack high blood sugar and high insulin levels simultaneously. I would argue that high insulin is the greater priority, yet both sugar & insulin levels are equally treated with low carbohydrate high fat diets. Because fats have zero impact on sugar levels and proteins only have a trace impact on blood sugar and insulin levels.

Carbohydrates send blood sugars and insulins to the roof in metabolically challenged people.

Insulin is the hormone that stores body fat.

It's the hormone that also creates hunger because in excess it blocks leptin which is the "hey I'm full" signal to our brains.

Insulin is a Carrier of sugar to the cells. It's a key that is formed to slip into the cell while it carries the sugar from the blood into the cell.

Most overweight & obese people are not diabetic. Thas right... So it's not body mass that causes this disease. Contrast this with most diabetics however are overweight or obese... confusing eh?

Not really...some fat people are great sugar metabolized adapted people & they over eat and they get fat because that's how the system works. These people likely have insulin always flowing yet their cells remain receptive to opening up to insulin to keeps blood sugars under good control. That's the good news they are not high sugar symptomatic but the bad news is they are FAT and over eating symptomatic due to excess insulins alwsys in their blood streams.

So it's my belief we need to reterm diabetes to a dress the cause versus the symptoms. Dr's should perform fasting and post pandrial isulin secretion tests. If you tend to secrete an excess of insulin you should be encouraged to eat low carbohydrate to avoid gull diabetes later in your life.

For diabetics it's not just a matter of losing weight. It's a matter of blood sugar and insulin control. DIABETES CAUSE obesity. It not obesity that causes diabetes.

The proof of that is most overweight or obese people are not diabetic from a high sugar symptomatic clinical evaluation.

Weight gain is a hormonal issue.
