I used to eat Papaya along with break fast. My HbA1c did not come down from 7.9. I stopped fruits and the HbA1c is down to 6.2. I am not convinced by the article.

I fully agree with the article. I have been having fruits only breakfast ( cocktail of 8 to 12 types of fruits as a fruit salad) weighing about 700 gms every day for the past seven years, and find that my sugar level does not spike after the fruit breakfast. In fact it spikes only when I take grains. I usually use seasonal fruits irrespective of their GI or other parameters. One thing is that it has got rid of my Acidity, and I have regular three times motion in a day, which makes me feel very light. When I got into a strictly LCHF diet for 4 months even though I got all the benefits of lower BS levels and weight loss, problems of constipation, and severe piles started. Even my Creatinine levels went up. When I switched back to all fruit breakfast and normal diet, BS levels and weight have gone up but the other problems vanished and My creatinine levels came down from 1.5 to 1.2. I am therefore planning from next month a modified LCHF diet with an all fruit breakfast, and lunch and dinner strictly LCHF. I shall let readers know the result of this modified diet.

Dr. Mercola on fructose speaks of proceeded fructose. Is it different from natural fructose in fruits.
