Fruit contains: natural sugar, vitamins, minerals, fibre..

Lower risks of: high blood pressure, heart disease, strokes, obesity, cancers.

Fruits most low GI.

Portion control is imagine one slice of bread fits in your palm of your hand..

15g to 20g

Fruit suggestions:

Apples small ones, Pear, handful grapes. Banana.

Fruit frozen berries packs or fresh. Top low fat yoghurt..

Touch sprinkle Cinnamon..

Slice fruit add to cereal ..

people are scared of fructose and are advised not to take fruit . But what about fish and other seafood . Seafood has high levels of mercury and causes health hazards like peripheral vision loss ,weakened muscles , in coordination , speech and hearing impairment , etc .Mercury is the most dangerous toxin . It could cause constipation , depression , dental aches , and autism in children . With out understanding the health hazards of mercury which are caused by the consumption of sea food , every one is going after fruit consumption which is far more safer than sea food .

Hello thank you for post not all seafood has mercury in it..

In fact as far as know most seafood fish is checked for this sort of thing and screened..

All depends the sources..

Indian Ocean, Pacific are where most fish caught...

To reassure you ...

Seafood is an essential need for the bodys systems..

Omega three six oils for health skin.. Vitamins..

If not fresh could purchase tins, I do..

Salmon, Tuna, Mackerel..

Concerns over seafood Prawns, Squid, Mussels buy frozen are screened..

Better storage frozen fish seafood..

Thank you very much for reply . In USA much care is taken as far as the food is concerned . But in many countries it is not the same . But even in USA Mercury was far beyond safe limits in many products . In fact Mercury in batteries ,flouracent bulbs ,dental implants , cosmetic things like mascara ,thermometers , auto parts , floride in water could have contributed to the autoimmune diseases apart from food items . Exposure to mercury causes tremors ,irritability ,insomnia ,impaired cognitive skills . lack of concentration , as per some findings .Mercury is said to very toxic and cycles through the atmosphere ,water, soil and air Now mercury pollution has become a global concern . In case of animal food , injections of growth hormones , steroids , antibiotics all have caused the intake of meat in excess rather dangerous , Now the need of the hour is a thorough overhauling of the entire globe regarding , food , air , water and ecology . consumption of plant food is the safest , that too fruits which reduces the burden on natural resources ,

sea food is not essential for diabetics. there are muchmore natural vegeterian foods with equivalent values.those in yoga should avoid all seafoods.

Strawberry, blue berry, blackberry, Cherry, plum, kiwi, Apricot, Guava

(unripe), capsicum, Tomato, Avocado....

Nowadays Guava are of king size weighing 500gm to 800 gm... And I love it...is my staple nowadays.

The best part is that there are hardly any seeds and you can simply cut and eat like an apple...available round the year..

It has Tonnes of vitamin C, and phyto-nutrients... Does not raise blood glucose at all.. try it out...

In fact I take it with every meal...

Hello please may I suggest Porridge Oats...

Type in breakfast cereal..

I eat Porridge long life milk with fruit either berries frozen and topped yoghurt with Cinnamon and Honey..

Portion that change it omit Honey, add low fat yoghurt add Apples or Pears diced up..

In UK too many cereals have high amounts of sugar and salt..

I am not a diabetic even me finds the cereals too sweet too much..

Breakfast serials?

Before you buy an cereals do look at the labelling!! Check the carb, sugar and quantity. !!

Take Weetabix, it is very easy to measure quantity. Take shredded whet again easy to check.

Porridge and other loos cereals you have to use a scale to check the daily quantity, add milk, honey. All the carb and sugar numbers go up.

Pre bagged quantity porridge is expensive.

Brown or white toast plain is good but when you add butter and jam then the carb and sugar goes up.

There are other items you can look for breakfast, eggs, green leaf veg, tomato, avocado, chick peas and sweet potatoes.

Enjoy one life.

Yes supermarkets are expensive if you care to look ..

Buy individual sachets porridge in bulk boxes cheaper.

Buy all my breakfast items bar Eggs as per month AMAZON..

Also add in free delivery unique whole salers many organic .. I do understand some people do not have money..

I am on a low income benefits yet do this..

Saved a lot of money ..

As with any thing the choice is yours.

Please hope this might allevaite any problems if you having issues finding products for your diabetes..
