A new hormone was discovered accidentally while researchers were on a project for regeneration and multiplication of beta cells .It is named BETATROPHIN.it is a very specific hormone that directly stimulates beta cell growth which produces insulin. An overlooked GENE controlled the production of this hormone.

Great news. Study of Betatrophin Levels in Patients With Type 2 Diabetes is already gone and will be completed by mid of this year.

In both the references relates to type1dm.Researchers have already said that this hormonal t/t is not for-1. Type1dm, 2.end cases where no beta cell is left.So it may help pre diabetics or early case of DM.As with all the research ,all of this may come to a naught.Let us keep our fingers crossed.
