First sign of diabetes. Nothing much to do with what you ate in the morning. Get your Blood test done again with empty stomach [ Fasting] and again 2 hours after breakfast [ PP]. Check results and consult doctor.
you are diabetic, perhaps recent. pl consult an endicronologist/diabetician.
In the meanwhile eliminate/reduce intake of sweets & reduce your intake of carbs
You are a diabetic but need not be unduly worried about it.However you have to make certain lifestyle changes to bring sugar levels under control.I am giving some general suggestions based on 18 years of experience as a diabetic. Please consider them as you deem fi
Diabetes is a metabolic disorder which is a result of the pancreatic gland in our body either produces little or no insulin or the body has developed resistance to insulin. In both cases, the body cells do not receive the glucose needed for production of energy because insulin is essential for glucose to enter the cells. This results in the blood sugar levels to increase beyond acceptable levels, though your body cells are starved for glucose. This condition is very bad for our well being and over long term may result in severe complications.
Controlling blood sugar levels is a tough job but it is not impossible if you realize that everything is in your own hands. This is so,because though you may get good advise from doctors and dieticians,it is ultimately Y O U that will have to take all the necessary steps to successfully control diabetes. I am giving certain general suggestions based on my personal experience which you may consider and adopt based on your personal choice.
Diet plays a very important role in managing diabetes. You should reduce intake of foods that are rich in carbohydrates like sweets, rice, wheat, other grains ,potato, beet and other root vegetables rich in starch. You should eat more of vegetables, sprouts, greens and salads that give you lot of fiber, vitamins and minerals. Each meal you take should be smaller but you may have 5 or 6 meals instead 3 meals a day.
Exercise is very important to control diabetes. Daily brisk walking or jogging for at least 40 to 60 minutes is ideal. Such exercise will consume lots of energy and sugar levels come down accordingly.
Mental stress aggravates diabetes. Lead a stress free life by adopting relaxation techniques like music meditation, yoga and breathing exercises.
Consult a diabetologist and get prescribed for medication if necessary and comply with the doctor's advise scrupulously.
Please remember that the most important person in managing your diabetes is Y O U.
It is difficult say that your are diabetic. You had full blood chemistry test but you did not mention your HbA1c reading. If your LDL cholesterol is also high you probably a diabetic. You need not worry if your doctor confirms your diabetic. Base on your age and other factors you can reverse it.
Dear Sir, Your diet in the morning is rich in sugars hence the sugar level has gone up, if wait and see after two days with normal suggested diet your sugar may come to 150. The tests suggested by the Doctors nowdays are in the interest of patient and their established high quality equipments. hence He made MRI also for you
I highly recommend the advice given by Mr Venkataramana. He kindly spent the time writing the most concise and comprehensive answer I have come across. Being myself a three year diagnosed diabetic2, my own research and experience confirm every point Mr V has written. Please take his advice to heart. Many thanks
WORRYing will not help you. Please change your life-style.
1) Go to bed by 10 PM.
2) Have a light dinner between 7 & 8 PM. Make it regular.
3) Get up early in the morning at 5.30 AM. Do some stretching and warm up at home and then take up brisk walking for about 40 minutes. Some might say that 40 minutes walking is too much, but you can do it. I am doing even at the age of 58.
4) Develop a habit of taking green tea without adding any sugar to it. Avoid coffee or Tea with milk. You can go for some herbal drink if it is available. Or Take a handful of Karuvepilai (Kadia Patha leaves) grind it in a mixie and add some buttermilk and drink a glassful everyday morning.
5) Take only some sprouts with un-cooked ground nut (soaked overnight in water) as break fast- at about 8.30 AM
6) Take some nuts (4 pices of Badam, 2 dry dates, one Fig ( Athi Fruit) and 4 pieces of Acrute nut) for lunch-preferably before 1 PM
7) Take your dinner between 7-8 PM
8) At 9 PM take one orange or an apple.
9) Go to bed at 10 or 10.30 sharp
Try to follow this and you can feel yourself coming back to normal within a month. Regular walking is a must. If possible, walk in the evening also for about half an hour before dinner. \
Please do not Over-Do anything.

need not to be panic. even if the results are showing higher levels.
ofcourse it is the simptum of diabetics. fasting should be below 110/120. and after lunch i.e sugar levels after 2 hours from the time of lunch should be below 160.
first of all go for thorough medical check up as advised by your family doctor.
he will guide you how to balance your sugar levels.
you can control your blood sugar levels very well by just following your doctors guidence.
For a non-diabetic the blood glucose level should come back to 120 to 140 within 2 hours of any food taken whether it is morning noon or night. In your case it can be random blood glucose level which means you are subject to observation of blood glucose level at fasting, post prandial (within 2 hours of any food taken ) to confirm if you are a diabetic. what is your age weight habits will be taken into account to confirm the real position.
The reply & advice of Mr. venkataramana, simply as a patient, is superb & comprehensive. To ascertain history of past few months, HbA1c can be got done.
