Please suggest which cereals preferable - Jowhar, Bajra, Ragi, Barley, Wheat or any other in order of preference. Vegetarian diabetics are bound to include some quantity of cereals into their diet. Is it beneficial to add Gram flour in Wheat atta? Or can we get our own blend of multigrain made at home instead of using branded ones?

If you don't mind can I know your BS levels. ( FS and PPS and A1C,in case you have done...)
A few months back, I was thinking of making my own 'MULTI GRAIN ATTA', but good sense prevailed. I will share with you my thoughts in this forum after seeing your reply....
Firstly I am not taking any medicines for diabetes. I am observing elevated BS levels since 2011. FS is hovering around 82 to 107, PPS is hovering around 95 to 114. A1C is 5.7, 6.1, 4.5, 5.66 this are the four readings at different intervals during the last 2 years.
I am not taking any sugar in form of sweets, in milk or tea. Not eating potatoes, small helpings of desserts once a week or even more infrequently. Taking White rice in moderation & Brown rice once a week. However, I am taking all the fruits in moderation like Mangoes, Grapes, Melon, Watermelon, Apple etc.
Few months ago, for some reason I skipped my lunch. I was feeling very low & hungry. I had a scoop of ice cream. Immediately I felt a shot of energy and was completely normal. I am frequently observing hunger spikes and frequent urination. These seems to be symptoms of diabetes, may be pre diabetic stage. Also, I feel lack of energy.
