Which liquor is good for diabetes - Diabetes India
Which liquor is good for diabetes
Very good question!
AS I said many times my life style is controlling my cholesterol and blood glucose, twice a year monitoring of blood numbers.
I take one or two drink every evening. Malt whisky, gin and tonic, vodka and tonic, rum on ice, tiger beer, corona, white vine or red vine expensive one expensive sparkling vine. what ever happens have to happen at 75.
The reason for this is to clear the kidneys (beer) and this is to thin the blood.
Not many people may agree but I am happy with this.
I never had drink/liquor in my life. I am 68. I normally take Sprite in summer when I come from outside. I am from south India.
Please read the small letters on the Label. Most of the Alcohol have some thing written like this. Whisky like, Rum like , Brandy like , Vodka like etc flavor added.. Almost all these drinks are harmful. Select the drink which says made from grains, fruits and no added flavors. Check the calorific value and count your Carbs.
Hi,
This is an example.
"View calories and nutrition info per 1 Pub Shot/35ml of Whiskey and see how many calories are in 100ml of Whiskey and its nutrition information.
Whiskey Calories and Nutrition per Serving (1 Serving=1 Pub Shot/35ml)
Calories 72
Grams of Protein 0
Grams of Carbohydrate 0
Grams of Fat 0
Grams of Fibre 0
Grams of Alcohol 10.4
Percentage of Calories from each Nutrient in Whiskey"
It all depends on if you are counting carb or calories.
Take care.
have you ever checked your AST or other liver-related? when you drink it goes up. Mine was high but when I quit and checked after 3 months. everything was normal. For most of the people who drink, their AST and ALT are always high bcoz they do not check. Drinking in a moderation way is good but not every day.

I know liquor is not good, but it gives you a lot of health benefits if you drink in a moderation way. like beer, red wine. I drink only occasionally. I was a heavy drinker when I was in India but now I totally cut down. I live in NJ.
sometimes you have to when you want to enjoy something.
So... red wine is best IF you have to have wine, or pinot grigio. I personally, like Trulys... I believe it’s 0 sugar. Wine has sugar. Other then that- Titos and club soda with a lime is low carb/low sugar and is gluten free. Good luck.
