Long wheat means jau(जौ) i it is naturaly grown in wheat field in our village. It very heathy grain for diabetic person.

Can you make a picture of jau(जौ) available here? A colleague from Delhi told that LW is known as JAU in Hindi, but many persons here object to it telling "JAU is BARLEY not Wheat".

I think this is Khapli Gahu and LW .i have tried by getting same from sangli @60 Rs per kg.Gives good results for BS control with chapati,and upma and also kheer...you must try and post results.

Yes .Sangli Khapli gehu is excellent LW..Show excellent BS control. I have been using it for long time ..My Quarterly BS is always about 100/150,at least over last 3 years.. With HB A1c at about 6.0.. And good lipid control.. I am 65 year old and Type 2 diabetic for almost 24 years.. LW and and controlled intake of Carbs(about 100-125gm daily max)., with some medicines...has controlled my diabetes and lipids..

To the best of my acquaintance & experience of last 9 years, this IS LONG WHEAT. Only problem with the picture (for some other viewers) is the excess clarity, closeness & over-illumination due to operating flash light in very short range.

This is Long Wheat (called "Khapli Ghaue" in Marathi).

Long wheat In English u call them oats its cheaper then normal wheat as per my knowledge available any were in Rajasthan ,Gujarat and Maharashtra . The best medicine fr diabetes is roti of otas (jau) flour and black chana flour in same ratio.Eating jau is always helpfull for our stomach so don't worry and eat.

And do morning or evening walk regularly and be happy.
