A More Emphatic and Convincing Video From Dr. Mischley
I appreciate Dr. M. That said, more emphatic and convincing of what?
I will be impressed the day they can halt or reverse PD. Until then the misery is prolonged due to delay. That being said, I can respect the effort that goes into helping patients.
Does it count if a person can halt or reverse PD while being on dopamine supplement?
DroppinIn My perspective is that if anything can help me live normally without much dependency on others and without the dread of waking up every morning and not knowing how the day is going to turn out is a godsend.
I don't care about a cure What I do care about is the reliability of something that works day after day without exception like my diabetes medication which has made miraculous strides over the past decade.
park_bear She gives powerful hope that one may be able to live usefully and productively a full life with the right choices that one can make with the information that she has gathered. Her Vitamin C example was a good illustration of how anecdotal evidence can be used to fast track the help and relief that Parkinson's patients need.

There are fundamental challenges associated with her data collection methodology. Challenges that ought to be clear to any PWP that looks at her survey form and reads the anecdotes about the huge day-to-day swings in the scores people achieve. She is doing her best with the resources available and she seems sincere but I think treating her recommendations as gospel is unwise.
