Dr. Lara Mischley: Has anyone heard of this... - Cure Parkinson's
Dr. Lara Mischley
Yup although it's Laurie not Lara.
Lovely lady, great speaker, lots of good advice about PD. Her presentations about nutrition are thoroughly recommended.
There is a tendency by some on this forum to deify her which is maybe going a bit far
My primary doc - love her! She got me to Switzerland also for brain surgery - without her I would have not known about it.
I am also a Laurie fan. What treatment did you have in Switzerland?
How did this surgery go? Are you happy with the outcome? How long ago did you do it?
Great, yes, a little over a year ago
What symptoms did you have and which ones did you see improve? Would love to hear more about your experience.
Thank you
Trixiedee's post answers most of that I believe healthunlocked.com/parkinso...
Also a video I made explaining my results
Yes I think she’s great and very approachable on Facebook. She’s researched Parkinson’s from a naturopathic angle more than anyone else.
She is very well known in the Parkinson's community, and for good reason. I'm also a patient of hers.
She is Awesome/ educated , experienced & approachable . Take her online school - incredible value.
She taught me more about my medication & lifestyle than any of my prescribing physicians ( I have a few )!
Amy, didn't she introduce you to the Mediterranean diet?
Yes she is pro- Mediterranean in general. But I am a drifter and tend to add GF/ low carb restrictions on my own volition.
Her online class is well worth the money and she encourages good diet and exercise among other things. I've learned a lot even though I do a lot of research myself.
My father sees Dr Mischley and made some great improvement, he has regressed some but is much better than before seeing her.
Her data driven advice and my discipline and hard work changed the course of the disease for me. I've actually improved over the past year, based on how I feel and measured by her ProPD measurement scale, that I take a few times a year. And she's a great person.
Yers! I have met her and her dog, which identifies Pd patients by smell.
She lives in California
