Resveratrol is marketed as a longevity and anti-aging molecule, but after looking through the research, I've decided to stop taking it. In this video I go into detail explaining my decision, ending with an apology to all of you.
Here is a positive resveratrol article from 2021: Resveratrol Improves Mitochondrial Biogenesis Function and Activates PGC-1α Pathway in a Preclinical Model of Early Brain Injury Following Subarachnoid Hemorrhage ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl...
A positive article indeed, although another using animal models.
I've been taking Resveratrol for about 12 months on the blind faith that if Dr David Sinclair is using it himself, then the data must be pretty convincing.
I've only just started to research Resveratrol more thoroughly today after coming across the Brad Stanfield video.
I get the impression there is a lack of compelling research in humans, along with mixed finding in the limited human studies done.
Brad also appears to highlight research in humans that have shown Resveratrol can inhibit the beneficial effects of exercise, which could be a big concern for us PwP.
I think I need to dig into this a bit more before deciding if zi should continue taking Resveratrol.
