I Got Duped by a fake journal!! Thanks Hikoi! flakyj.blogspot.com/2017/01...

JSciMed Central aims to harbor the journal free from the malpractice

JSM's "125 international peer reviewed journals" are a "platform for all the researchers, scientists, doctors, students to update with the latest advancements in Science, Technology & Medicine." One report indicates that it uses dummy addresses in the US to mask its location in India. You too can have its San Diego office suite for an address.

JSM advertises that "Our quality control team will help to analyze the quality of the manuscripts as per international standards." Apparently, English (or law?) is not part of the standards, as the next sentence on the webpage reads "Plagiarism is a crime, thus avoid plagiarism as we aim to harbor the Journal free from the malpractice."

Some of its spam states that "This is not a spam message and has been sent to you because of your eminence in the field." The message was from the Journal of Family Medicine and Community Health. My eminence in the field consists of being part of a family and living in a community.

Bolt UpwriteI’m not sure but I dont think that PET scan shows an improvement, quite the opposite. The damage looks much more extensive.

Thanks. I was just going by what they wrote:

PET imaging of our patient in year 2016. Figure 2 Patient was regularly taking prescribed medicines. He changed his diet to vegetarian and was taking several nutritional supplements as described. Note that the state of Parkinson’s disease was improved and it is seen on the PET scan as pre-symptomatic. We see in the central part of the brain marked in white yellow colour new and increased storage of dopamine. Therefore the cognitive functions connected to the levels of dopamine, were improved.

Anybody can write anything they like but it doesnt make it true. BU I’m sorry but this is the most poorly written study I have ever read and it is not published in a reputable journal but one that one blog calls flakey. It is rubbish. I hope you are not going to follow it, There is absolutely no proof the supplements or diet have any effect.
