Herb capsules for tremor

I received a referral to a herb capsule for Park tremor and am going into town now to purchase. I do not want this post reported as spam. So I will report by private message the results of this test dose.

Asking for Peace and Serenity capsules: .20cents each (not their tea)

From RoyProp: Subject Parkinson's tremor

Message: I was referred by one of your customers. The wife of a Parkinson's said you have a formula. Does it stop tremor? If I take it, how long before I see stop? What will it cost?

To: RoyProp

Subject: Re: New message via your website, from gmail.com

We have recently had some exciting reports from customers who have taken our combination of 2 formula teas - Brain Support & Nerve Restoration.

It has been successful at improving balance and stopping tremors. Every individual is different, so as far as a time frame, I could not say specifically, but one would expect to see improvement in 1-2 weeks if not within a few days. Thank you always! end copy

She said when I telephoned that they have a capsule version Peace and Serenity capsules.

"The herbs in Peace and Serenity have been used traditionally to support the central nervous system. Eleuthero Root may assist in building immunity, resisting the effects of stressors in your life. Oatstraw and Passion Flower work to calm frayed nerves, while Astragalus Root boosts immune response. This formula has been traditionally used to diminish anxiety attacks, insomnia and irritability. Wild Lettuce has a mild sedative effect that can help relieve pain, insomnia, cramps, coughs, and bronchitis.

Ingredients: Astragalus Root, Chamomile Flowers, Eleuthero Root, Oat Straw, Passion Flower, Skullcap Root, Valerian Root, Hops Flower, Lavender Flower, Ginger, and Wild Lettuce Leaf in Veggie Caps. Suggested Use: For maintenance; take 2 capsules twice a day or as directed."

Many of those ingredients are considered sleep aids. The number one ingredient, Astragalus root is considered an immune booster which I have used before, but it is a little pricey by itself. Actually I've used everything on that list except wild lettuce leaf and oat straw. Skullcap I used for a couple of months, but it started to bother my stomach a lot and I had to stop using it, but it gave some pain relief while I could use it. I prefer the better boswellia extracts over skullcap.

Valerian root is typically used as a sleep aid or to promote calmness, but it is a hard one to get down because it smells really bad to me! Did not help with sleep.

Lavender flower as a sleep aid. The capsules smelled strongly of lavender, but I found no benefit in terms of calm or sleep.

Hops flower, again as a sleep aid or to promote calmness.....no effect for me.

Ginger was helpful to calm my stomach and to reduce inflammation. I used a couple of forms of it.......black ginger, standard herb powder and an extract form.

Chamomile for calmness.....it helped a little in tea and capsule form.

Passion flower often recommended as a sleep aid and for calmness was not effective for me.

Eleuthero Root or Siberian ginseng I have used as an adaptogen for stress relief and it was mildly effective as most adaptogens like holy basil , rhodiola and ashwagandha that I have used.

Hops I have also tried in the xanthohumol form to boost the TH-1 response, but there was no practical way for me to know if it did or didn't and there was no apparent effect after a three month test of it.

I have also taken the combination of passion flower, valerian root, chamomile, lemon balm and lavender flower as a sleep aid with no benefit, but if you look at reviews of this combination it should be effective to help promote sleep, but not for me. GABA and melatonin were more effective for me as a sleep aid.

RoyProp,

Is the herbal combination ashwagandha and rhodiola in the capsules you are getting? These are both very well known as adaptogens that can help significantly with multiple forms of stress and nerves in the human body with an overall calming effect.

After a week of capsule version Peace and Serenity, no reduction of tremor, maybe I will continue the capsules for yet another week or return to town and pick-up the 2 formula teas - Brain Support & Nerve Restoration.

A recent auto accident seems to have triggered a higher intensity of right arm/hand tremors, and right leg tremors which I never had before. In addition to a severe neck injury (possibly cervical dystonia) these newly non-stop tremors have compelled me to make the decision to retire.

I was diagnosed five years ago at age 63. The only PD drug I take now is repinorole. I just stopped taking amantadine after four years, as it didn't seem to do much of anything.

I also take a small dose of trazodone to help with sleep at night. I tried C/L for about 2-1/2 months but it made me very ill. I take some vitamin and mineral supplements, have recently started on a B-complex supplement with thiamin.

In addition to tremors, I have constipation and incontinence, slurred speech and swallowing difficulties, memory loss and cogntion problems. So far walking and balance are only slightly affected. My handwriting, however, has become illegible. I would really like to address the issue of tremors . Have you found anything that reduces tremors for you? Did Peace and Serenity help at all, and how do you order it?

I believe my tremor is less over the time using thiamin hci.

I have been on a search trying to improve. I tried increasing dose thiamin hci, herb capsules and tea, amantadine, mucuna, various Park standard meds

Roy you attribute thiamine with reducing tremor. i also note you appear to have increased your sinemet 200/50 by 50% in the past three months (from 2 tabs daily to 3 tabs daily.) How do you decide which does what?

in reply toHikoi

My neurologist prescribed 3 daily. I chose none a day, then 2 daily then 3 tabs a day. I believe I am more knowledgeable for treatment results based on personal experience.

I choose to accept Doc Costantini's recommendation that we must take C/L in addition to thiamin hci

Hikoi profile image
Hikoi in reply to

Can you say how long have you been taking sinemet Roy? And when did you start thiamine?

in reply toHikoi

I have not kept record other than what's found in my Profile/Posts
