Trelahose and Mannitol Questions.

1) Does mannitol have the same effects as trehalose? Can one take mannitol instead of trelahose? I use mannitol and find it makes a real difference to how I can move.

2) There is a nasal spray called Xlear which is made of trelahose and used as a decongestant. Would one get any effects on the brain by using that spray?
