Hello everyone, just received my L-Dopa from NUTRIVita, I haven't taken any of it yet. I was looking for some current posts on Mucuna, but everything I've found is approximately a year to two years old. Could anyone share current information with me? Is it working for you? Any precautions I need to know? Anything? Thank you very much for your help.

Is it the 98% pure? If yes, you should purchase a jeweler's scale to measure small amounts. They're less than $20 on Amazon. Consider that the smallest dose of carbidopa/levodopa has 100mg of levodopa, so since you are just starting you might want to start small. BTW, there are many more recent posts on MP, you have to scroll to find them since HU does not sort chronologically. Below is a link from 8 months ago. i find that the l-dopa from Nutrivitashop is very reliable. I have ordered several times and the quality has been consistently good. I take it in measured doses using a very accurate electronic scale. I originally started using it to supplement the C/L 25/100. I also add prescribed Carbidopa to the mix (water and some juice). Eventually, I came to eliminate the c/l pill. I created drink from this and have it every 1-1/2 hours. Over the course of slowly adding my mixture, I regained a great measure of function. I even recovered fine motor skills in my hands to the point that I could fingerpick my guitar again.

I know there is no resting on my laurels, as I march forward to eliminate even this. At the very least, I am not a burden to my family with this sort-of homemade protocol. This is the direction I took when the Hinz protocol failed me twice. It too is an amino acid drink you take periodically, however their is no carbidopa component.

Hi James, I use nutrivita 98% and it works great. I've been using it for about a year. You're doing the right thing by asking for suggestions because it was difficult to get to the right dose at the beginning. I bought a set of measuring spoons from WalMart where the set included the 1/8 teaspoon size, which is what I use every three hours into a little water. When mixed with B1 the symptom relief is extended.
