Neupro

Neurologists who do not treat thousands of RLS patients a year seem to think Neupro has less risk of augmentation. That is not the case. How many people have posted on here that they switched to the Neupro Patch and their RLS has become worse.

For now only Neupro help. Should I accept to continue on Neupro with opinoids? Also my sympthoms are worse on Summers Seasons, I don't understand why. I have benefits with reduced carbohydrates, but still have problems with RLS. I also lost 15 pounds, but didn't help.

Started off with neupro patches but over the years mainly ropinerole, stalevo , madopar and at night rivotril. I’ve recently heard one of the neurologist mentioning Parkin when he was looking through My file….what is the difference THANKYOU KIND REGARDS

I've been trying to get off the Neupro patch for 2 1/2 years. I managed to go from 4 mg to 1 mg with the aid of methadone but am stalled because at 20 mg, I don't want to/can't go higher. Last night I tried Lyrica and had bad RLS all night. I've been on Lyrica in the past and this never happened!

I ended up on Neupro 2mg, that I slowly reduced to 1mg over 8 months. Now, I'm back at the hospital, and my condition is so bad (constant and very painful RLS) that my neurologist wants to put me back on Neupro 2mg, and even more if needed.

The objective it to stop to take Neupro because I have skin Allergy. With Lyrica, I'm Little depressive and increase m'y appetive. Should continue to take Lyrica?

I also suffer from refractory PLMD and am on a high dose of Neupro patch(6mg). I am hoping that the Buprenorphine will mean that I don’t get any more augmentation from the Neupro patch. My main question is : I have read on this site that the weekly patch stops working after five days.

Has anyone used Neupro over an extended period of time (2-years or more) to determine its relationship to augmentation? I found an article that indicates that over a 5-year period the augmentation of Neupro was significantly reduced compared to Ropinerole.

We have tried many medications, but what works for me now is a Neupro patch which I wear 24 hours a day. At night I take tramadol 50 mg and to Temazepam 30 mg. I take Ferrous sulfate 325 mg twice a week. You must work with a doctor and find out what will work best for you.

I'm on daily madopar 100mg, 3 times and day and 6mg neupro. Could this be meds even though I've been fine for 9 months or is this a sign of progression? I read that gastroparesis is common in PD but not seen lots discussed about it. All feedback and thoughts appreciated :)

Neupro patch 24 h 6mg, Tramadol 50 mg at night, Gabapentin 100 mg, Tylenol 500 mg, temazepam 30mg at bedtime, Iron 325 mg 3 x’s a week. Magnesium 500 mg at night. Works pretty good though I’m augmenting. I

With my neurologist's assistance, I am currently tapering off the Neupro patch (10mg) due to severe impulse control disorders (ICD) over the past year.

My husband had a video gambling slots side effect from Neupro. These two meds that are dopamines and seem to work. He sees a neurologist and we also met with doctors at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester about 4 years ago.

Hi all, During Sep, I progressively reduced my Neupro dose from 1mg to 0mg, under the supervision of my new neurologisit from Antwerp whose diagnosis is a very severe DAWS. My current medication is now 2x300mg Pregabaline, 2x100mg Tramadol ER, 1x0.5mg clonazepan, 37.5mg Venlafaxine.

She is currently using 1mg Neupro Patches (Rotigotine) and most nights is well controlled. But occasionally (once every week or two) she has a terrible night and is in terrible pain. And then she settles down again Have others experienced the same? What are the options?

I was put on the 3mg patch in June and only get relief with an addition of 30mg codeine. I then have no symptoms and sleep all night. I have a sleep clinic appointment next week. My ferritin is low. I know I should ask for an iron infusion. What else should I be asking?

After several years on Neupro and Gabapentin I tapered off Neupro but my symptoms persist. Looking for a neuro who prescribes opioids. I’m in NY and haven’t found one here. Called Yale cause I heard Dr Koo sees patients in NY but Yale said that’s incorrect.

Dear Everyone, About 3 months ago, I started withdrawing from Neupro with the help of Buprenorphine. Buprenorphine is only available as a patch in Brasil where I live. I am now free of any dopamine agonist for over 2 months and continue to use Buprenorphine to effectively control my RLS.

I did tell her i didn’t trust the neuro after he put my brother on 6mgs neupro patch. So another wait to see what the neuro decides. sigh
