Plenvu and colonoscopy

Help - have a colonoscopy on Monday morning at 8am and supposed to take my second dose of Plenvu at 5.30! Worried about my journey to the hospital - should I have have stopped going to the toilet by 7.30?

The second dose isn’t usually as bad as nothing much left, mainly clearish water so you should be ok for the journey, I’m not saying for you do it but I’ve previously taken my second dose a bit earlier just to make sure, never had any problem and my journey is about 45 minute.

Good idea think I’ll put the alarm on for 5am - luckily my journey is only about 5mins. Thanks for replying - appreciate it!

I always take my doses earlier than stated to make sure that it is 100% clear by the time I get to hospital and also remember it is very rare for them to be on time so you will have plenty of time waiting at the hospital to go to the loo your arrival time is 8:30 not the actual colonoscopy because they usually get everyone in at 8:30 so they can do all the admin etc then people will be called in one by one but there is always a toilet near so you will be ok just try not to worry it’s not the best experience but it’s worth doing and it’s good once it’s out the way. Good idea will definitely start earlier - I guess once you’re empty - you’re empty! Thanks for the tip.

I had a colonoscopy last Wednesday and my appointment was 1pm and I took the 2nd dose at 6am and I was still going to loo while in hospital. P.s get moist wipes you'll thank me lol. Good luck 👍 xx

Yes you should be fine
