Is there a connection between both colitis and oral thrush? I was diagnosed with colitis last July and put on a maintenance oral tablet three a day...been on them a month and now have oral thrush..never had it before. Has anyone else with colitis suffered with oral thrush??

Some medications like antibiotics can cause oral thrush. I would check with your medical practitioners.

I don't know if there is a connection but I have had chronic yeast infection including oral thrust long before I was diagnosed with colitis.

Hi Be12345.

Was very interested to read your post I was prescribed medicine for thrush age 40. Shortly after out of the blue I developed ulcerative colitis. No previous gut problem or family history. I always felt there was a connection.
