Hi since I had my last colonoscopy, I am seeing a lot of thick mucosa on my first poo in the morning I was wondering if anyone has had this and what causes it. I am on Prednisolone 5mg reducing . I would be grateful for any feedback.

I usually have mucus in my stool at all times. One doctor said that it was fine to have it but I'm a little skeptical about it too. Sorry I can’t help because I need clarification too.

I always have some mucus & my dr says this is perfectly normal. By the way, I am in remission. It's the bloody mucus that is a huge issue.

Hi I am to stay on the Prednisolone for a couple of extra weeks, also they are thinking to put me on a biological drug for a year called Vedolizumab, not looking forward it but if it put me in remission it will be good. Also the blood mucus has gone now .

I have always regarded thick white mucus, no blood, as start of improvement. It seems to entwine in the more solid start of stool.
