Calprotectin high again!

Had a 2000 calprotectin result sep last year had

ct,colonoscopy and endoscopy CLEAR

just had a retest 893 calprotectin no changes in diet or medication to explain the drop its better but still not normal!

they have said i may have IBS and have put me on mebeverin tablets!

anyone who has ibs are levels that raised ? i am not convinced i have ibs

i dont get constipation the runs pain

i do get mucus blood all the time and sometimes when i feel i need to go thats all i pass! wind,mouth ulcers,fatigue also other symptoms! i dont get how an 893 result does not make them want to find a cause! #fedup

I think you need a second opinion! Your calprotectin is still high, you are bleeding (which should not be ignored) plus you have several other classic IBD symptoms. Can you get your GP to refer you to another hospital?

I agree second opinion - you definitely had colonoscopy? Not sigmoidoscopy ?

update still giving high calprotectin readings 1800 was last one had a sigmoid again clear the pile is the bleeding cause which they have noted is large enough to band ! still dont know what is causing it..Think they will just keep saying ibs back in october for a follow up!
