hi I am a 41 year old Male that has been diagnosed with uc 2.5 years ago and I believe I am have my first flare since being diagnosed.my symptoms are bleeding when going to the toilet but I am not going to the toilet for 5-6 days at a time this is coursing a lot of discomfort and bloating so I was just wondering if any one else has experienced these symptoms tia

Have you had regular appointments with your Gastro team since diagnosis? If not, and you are bleeding, it's time to get in touch. Do you have an IBD nurse to talk to? Are you on any meds? I find constipation is a problem so take an osmotic laxative daily, but your problem sounds quite severe and uncomfortable. Ask for advice - don't just put up with it!
